Books
Despite how amazing podcasts are, they cannot match the value of a good book. To really get into the nuances of a topic you’ll probably need one. There are so many incredible Bitcoin books, these are just some recommendations from what I’ve read so far.
The Hidden Cost of Money - Seb Bunney
Money
A great first read. Avoiding too many technical details about Bitcoin and the current monetary system, Bunney does a brilliant job of linking many of the most prominent problems in society to the fiat monetary system.
The Price of Tomorrow - Jeff Booth
Deflation
This book does a great job of explaining not only how things would naturally get cheaper over time if allowed to do so but also why this is crucial to a prosperous future for humanity.
Broken Money - Lyn Alden
History, Banking and Money
‘Broken Money’ is not a short book coming in at 494 pages but none will better explain the emergence and development of monetary systems over time, including the one that prevails today.
Resistance Money - Andrew Bailey, Bradley Rettler and Craig Warmke
Philosophy
‘Resistance Money’ is great for a philosophical take, breaking down all the headline claims about Bitcoin and cutting out the noise.
Hidden Repression - Alex Gladstein
Human Rights
Gladstein breaks down how international organisations like the International Monetary Fund and World Bank are not the altruistic institutions they are made out to be, in fact, they are quite the opposite.
The Fiat Standard - Saifedean Ammous
Economics
This book is both incredibly thought provoking and intellectually satisfying for anyone seeking to understand the inner workings of the Fiat monetary system.
The Genesis Book - Aaron Van Wirdum
History
Follow the exciting histories of two seemingly unrelated fields of study, economics and computer science, which one day converge on a single topic to birth Bitcoin.
